The northwest has finally been graced with some sunshine!

And for this fair-skinned red head this means lots and lots of sunscreen. Over the years however I have become wise and don't leave the house without it.

My fiance' on the other hand... he just doesn't seem to understand that one application of sunscreen in the morning will not last ALL day. For a carpenter working all day in the sun this is a very harsh lesson.

I think for every bottle of sunscreen I buy I will have to also buy a bottle of aloe vera. His and hers I suppose. Like most women I feel my way is better!

Happy Friday!

Neighborhood pool...

Bob takes JoJo and the kids for a day at the neighborhood pool.diving board

After they've been there awhile, a lifeguard blows his whistle and screams at Bob, "Hey, you in the Speedo's, I've been watching you all afternoon, and you must stop urinating in the pool!"

Bob says, "Why? Everybody does it!"

The lifeguard replies, "Not from the diving board!"

Fun Factoids...
  • Titanic was the first ocean liner to have a swimming pool and a gym.penguin
  • Elephants are capable of swimming twenty miles a day. They use their trunks as natural snorkels.
  • African Black-footed penguins, although they cannot fly, can swim up to 25 miles per hour which is faster than the Atlantic Bottlenosed dolphin, which can attain speeds of 18-23 mph.
  • If you have blonde hair that goes greenish from swimming pool chlorine, you put ketchup on it and it balances the pigments out.
Summer Swimmin'...

What is it?
Question?
It cannot be seen, cannot be felt, cannot be heard, cannot be smelled. It lies behind stars and under hills, and empty holes it fills. It comes first and follows after, ends life, kills laughter.
